Hi, I’m Martin. My journey towards a health-conscious way of living was not initially triggered by my own wellbeing but through observing the challenges members of my close family were faced with.
Conventional medicine can be life-saving in many acute cases (such as a car accident or a heart attack) but for chronic conditions I thought there had to be another way: one that looked at the individual and took into account their lifestyle, diet and environment.
As my studies progressed and I began to change my own diet I noticed an increase in energy and my sleep improved – issues I wasn't even aware I was having. I'd simply become used to feeling tired and thought that was normal. This further opened my eyes to the potential of nutrition to benefit so many: not only people with diagnosed conditions but also for those looking to optimize their health and reduce their risk of developing disease.
I work with clients in a way that treats them as an individual and digs down to find the underlying cause of the issue. It is by digging up these roots that long-lasting changes are made.
Qualifications & Training
Having completed an extensive training program at the College of Naturopathic Medicine to qualify as a Nutritional Therapist I now practise in Cheshire and Greater Manchester.
I am a member of the professional body BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy) and I have also reached the occupational standards of the NTC (Nutritional Therapy Council), which has strict Codes of Practise and Ethics.
I continue to grow and develop as a practitioner though keeping up-to-date with peer-reviewed research as well as attending accredited seminars and conferences around the country.
